Rising Oil Prices Boost Canadian Dollar

The Canadian dollar (AKA the “loonie) gained 0.1 percent to 97.40 cents to the US dollar early this morning as oil prices broke through $100 a barrel. Canada is a leading supplier of crude and as the unrest in Libya drive oil futures higher, the Canadian economy stands to gain.
