Bank of Japan Provides Billions to Stabilize Markets

The Bank of Japan has pumped 15 trillion yen ($183bn; £114bn) into the country’s banking system in the wake of Friday’s tragic earthquakes and tsunami to restore confidence in Japan’s markets. This is the largest single operation ever conducted by the Bank of Japan and further moves are expected.
